The 2022 Nebraska State Fair is right around the corner once again and is set to feature a wide range of activities, sights and competition participation from Hamilton County residents.
Located a short jaunt away in Grand Island, the 11-day summertime staple is set to begin Friday, Aug. 26 and run through Sept. 5 at Fonner Park. The fair will be filled with a number of must-see favorites, including musical performances, livestock shows, a Horse Nations Indian Relay, bullfighters and more.
This year’s theme, “Nothing More Nebraskan,” strikes a chord for state fair staff.
“We are working toward a brand more than an annual theme which can be quickly forgotten,” said Nebraska State Fair marketing director Ray Massie. “(For) example, can anyone name the 2016 theme for the fair? ‘Nothing More Nebraskan’ speaks to the pride Nebraskans have in their state and the Good Life we live in Nebraska.”
