Six more Hamilton County residents filed paperwork last week to run for various local boards and commissions, including two incumbents who missed the incumbent candidate filing deadlines and must now run as write-in candidates.
One of those incumbents is Ward 2 Aurora City Councilwoman Nancy Lorhrmeyer, who was reportedly out of state at the time of the deadline. So far she is the only candidate to file for her seat on the council.
The other sitting area board member who will run as a write-in candidate is current Aurora Airport Authority Board member Kasey Wessels.
Also throwing his hat in the ring last week was Kenny Aerni of Marquette, who is running for a four-year seat on the Marquette Village Board.
In addition, Rodney Blase is the first to file for a four-year seat on the Hordville Village Board, and Lewis Schlekopf has filed for one of two open seats on the Stockham Village Board.
Finally, newcomer Mitchell Fagan is the fourth person to file for one of three open seats on the Hampton School Board.
With the latest filings, the number of candidates who have filed now totals 23 and following is the list of current candidates:
Hamilton County Commission: Incumbent Nancy Salmon, Dist. 4, Republican.
City of Aurora: Incumbent Wayne Roblee, Ward 1; incumbent Nancy Lorhrmeyer, Ward 2 (Write-in) and incumbent Mark Dunn, Ward 3. All are four-year terms.
Aurora Airport Authority Board: Ross Beins and incumbent Kasey Wessels, for one six-year term.
Aurora 4R School Board: Incumbents Daniel Pachta and Brock Wyatt (four-year terms).
Giltner School Board: Incumbents Bradley Schutt, Joseph Happold and Michael Wilson challenged by Amanda Eastman (two four-year terms).

Hampton Village Board: Incumbents Dylan Bamesberger and Jared Rjewski (four-year terms).
Marquette Village Board: William Gfeller, Jerry Jervah Jr. and Kenny Aerni Jr. (All non-incumbents) are running for two open four-year terms.
