Water supply tested bacteria free after two tests
This was the scene at 2nd and G Streets in Hampton last Tuesday afternoon after workers repaired a water main break at that intersection. Village water users have been under a boil order for a week since the entire water system had to be shut down to make the repair.
Water sprays out in a fan shape from a break in a Hampton water main most likely caused by recent extreme cold temperatures. Crews repaired the leak last Tuesday, Jan. 23.
The boil order that had been placed on Hampton Village water users more than a week ago has been lifted according to village Utility Supt. Chris Friesen.
