4R staff visits Union Station for unique experience

Aurora Middle School special education teacher Sally Hoos spent a quiet moment observing this gas mask while taking Friday’s tour of the Auschwitz Exhibition in Kansas City.
Aurora educators across the 4R district were invited to take part in a special opportunity Friday. A day that would have been spent planning away, as there was technically no school for students, was spent on the Husky Bus and eventually in Kansas City, Mo.
Despite a 4-1/2 hour drive, the group ended up somewhere a little farther from home -- Auschwitz.
