Group to explore possibilities of establishing peace
Dear Editor:
I am hosting a group to explore the possibilities of establishing peace. You are invited to our first meeting to be held Saturday, Oct. 25th at 10 a.m. at the Alice Farr Library in Aurora.
We will be discussing what creates peace within ourselves, our families, other relationships, our community and the feasibility of someday creating a more peaceful world. This will be a nonpolitical group. There are many forums to discuss political thought but few gatherings to examine the idea of peace and how it might be established.
This group will also examine spiritual connectedness and the power of love as a foundation for peace. This will be an interfaith gathering, as well as a gathering for individuals who do not hold a specific faith but see a need for the practice of a kinder, loving way to connect with others.
As a guide to our discussions, I will be utilizing a book called, The Peacemaker’s Path by Reverend Jerry Zehr.
