Dennis Nielsen

Dennis Nielsen, 80, of Aurora, died Friday, May 27, 2016 in Lincoln.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 31st at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Rev. Bruce Bradley will officiate. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation was on Monday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
Dennis Ferdinand Nielsen, the son of Adolph and Agnes (Hansen) Nielsen was born in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 28, 1935.When he was one year old he moved to Aurora with his parents. Dennie graduated from Aurora High School in 1953 and then attended Grand Island Business College.

Keith Reichardt

Keith Reichardt, 83, of Aurora, died on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. Rev. Howard Rasmussen will officiate. Burial will be at Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 415 S. 18th St., Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary at www.higbymortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be designated later.
Keith Russell Reichardt, the son of Russell and Marie (Winter) Reichardt, was born in Aurora on May 3, 1933. Keith grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1951. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from March 12, 1953 until Jan. 28, 1955. Keith served a year tour in Korea during the Korean Conflict.

Rollie Trautman

A Memorial Book Signing for Rollie L. Trautman will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. with the family greeting from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma. Inurnment will be at a later date.
 Rollie Lee Trautman, 78 years of age, of Alma, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his home in Alma, surrounded by his family. Rollie was born on May 30, 1937 in Magnet, the youngest of six children and second born, in a set of twins, to Adolf Carl and Ada (Peter) Trautman.   He received his education from Hartington High School, graduating with the class of 1954.
 Rollie enlisted in the United States Army on February 2, 1955 and was honorably discharged on July 23, 1957.  He served in Bad Kreuznach, Germany and received decorations as an Expert Rifleman and Marksmen. He re-enlisted in 1957, was transferred and served in the Army Reserves, until February 1, 1963.

Joseph ‘Joe’ Durham, age 59, of Aurora, formerly of South Bay, CA, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at his home.
 A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2 at United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev.  Joseph Wesley Durham, the son of James and Thelma LaNelle (Dever) Durham, Sr., was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 24, 1956 and passed away in Aurora, on May 21, 2016, at the age of 59.

Jayden Samuel McDonald

Jayden Samuel McDonald was born at rest on Wednesday May 18th, 2016. He is the son of Jason and Andrea (White) McDonald of Aurora.
Jayden was a very loved baby boy. He is now a beautiful angel that will be remembered and celebrated by many.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Jason and Andrea, brothers Steven, Nathan, Taylor and Riley and a sister, Megan, all of Aurora; grandparents John and Debbie White of Grand Island, Aaron and April Nilson of Marquette and Dale and Janie McDonald of Kearney;  uncle Daniel White of Grand Island; an aunt and cousins, Erin, Colin, Astin and Bradin Kennedy, all of Aurora; great-grandparents Sam and Joan Barton of Grand Island and Van and Bette White of The Villages, FL.

Linda Regier

Linda J. Regier, 64 years, of Omaha, left this earth on Friday, May 20, 2016 to spend eternity with her Savior in Heaven.  Linda was born February 21, 1952 in Henderson, to Marvin L. and Elda (Quiring) Peters.
She lived on a farm near Henderson and was a 1970 graduate of Henderson High School. She attended Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas and received her BA Degree in 1974.  Linda married Allen Regier December 16, 1973 at Henderson Mennonite Brethren Church.  She lived in Henderson from 1974 to 2003 and in Omaha from 2004 to the present.  She was employed by Aurora Coop in Aurora, Con Agra Foods in Omaha, and West Plains LLC in Omaha.

Kyle Christian Zierott

Kyle Christian Zierott, age 26, of Bradshaw, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Bradshaw.  He was born May 18, 1989 in York, to Daniel and Sharon (Kaiser) Zierott.  Kyle was an Electrician’s Apprentice and farmed in the Bradshaw area.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton, where he was a youth group leader.   When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed welding, hunting, and cooking and smoking meat.  He loved working on cars and was very proud of his 1972 Dodge Charger.  Writing poetry was another favorite pastime of Kyle’s.  He loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed being a part of their lives.

Vance Ulmer, age 88, of Pawnee City, formerly of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Bryan/LGH East in Lincoln.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14 at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 1009 1st Street in Aurora. Rev. Karl Larson will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Vance Harold Ulmer, the son of John and Sophia (Trautman) Ulmer was born in Sutton, on May 24, 1927 and passed away in Lincoln, on May 11, 2016, at the age of 88.
He grew up in Sutton, graduated from Sutton High School Class of 1945 and attended UNL for a year.

Doniphan resident, Robert R. “Bob” Brown, 78, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island.
Services will be Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Doniphan United Methodist Church with Pastor Kelly Karges officiating.  Burial with military rites will be in the Rosedale Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at the church in Doniphan.

Marjorie A. Rhode

Marjorie A. Rhode, 91, of Prairie Home, Mo. passed away at the Neighborhoods, in Columbia on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
 Visitation for Marjorie will be at Zion Lutheran Church in Lone Elm from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 2. Funeral services will be held at the Church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, with Pastor Paul Weisenborn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
