Daniel Lewis Beber,81, of York, died on June 19, 2015 at Bryan East in Lincoln.  Funeral services will be Friday, June 26, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Polk at 10 a.m.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Polk.  Burial will be in the Arborville Cemetery.

Ingred Holmberg Hedlund

Ingred Holmberg Hedlund. 95, died Jan. 23, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
She  was born in Loup City to Einar and Ida Holmberg, on May 28, 1919.
She graduated from Phillips High School in 1936.
A Memorial Service was held in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Feb. 6, 2015.
Her Burial Service will be held at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church cemetery on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 11 a.m.

Michael Lee Burke

Michael Lee Burke, 59, of Central City, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at CHI St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island.  Funeral services will be Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home downtown location with Pastor Ellen Campbell officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Solt-Wagner Funeral Home downtown location.  Burial will be at a later date.

 Michael was born on February 13, 1956 to Lyle and LaVonne (Rogan) Burke in Long Beach, California.  He grew up and attended schools in Grand Island and Dannebrog.  He married Vicki Brandenburg on July 27, 1977 in Central City.
Michael lived most of his life in Central City.  He worked for Atlantic Homes in Central City for over 7 years and at Bonnevilla Homes in Aurora for over 15 years.  He retired due to his health.

Aurora resident, Edna V. Jobman, 90, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Memorial Community Care Center in Aurora.    
Services will be Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, Aurora with Pastor Karl Larson officiating. Burial will be Monday, June 15, 2015 at 9 a.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Messiah Lutheran Church, Aurora, Memorial Community Care Center, Aurora or Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. with family present at the funeral home, in Hastings. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Duane Bruce Henk

Duane Bruce Henk, 84, of Central City, died at his home on Friday, June 5, 2015.  Graveside services will be on Thursday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at the Central City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Solt-Wagner Funeral Home at 1507 17th Street.
Solt-Wagner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials are suggested to the Keith Worthington Chapter of the ALS Association and to the Nebraska Organ Retrieval System. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.soltfh.com.
 Duane was born on April 6, 1931 to Fred William and Vera Edna (Wilson) Henk in Central City. Duane attended Central City schools graduating in 1949. After high school he then joined the United States Army where he served our country from April 2, 1952 until April 1, 1954.

Terry E. Cranston

Terry E. Cranston, 67, of Grand Island died Sunday, June 7 at CHI Health St. Francis.
Celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate.  Cremation will take place following the service. Burial of ashes will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be an hour before service time.
Mr. Cranston was born July 25, 1947 at Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Perle and Audrey (Reed) Cranston.
Survivors include daughter, Rebecca Pauly of Grand Island; son, Robert Cranston of Grand Island; brothers, James Sweeney of Aurora and Jeff Sweeney of Grand Island; sisters, Kathy Moderow of Aurora, Tammy Lett of Mississippi, Sherry Cranston of Atlantic, Iowa and step-sister, Marcia Hockenberry of Iowa and grandchildren, Brianna Pauly, Baylie Pauly, Mallory Kokes, Madison Kokes, Mikayla Baldwin and adopted granddaughter, Rachel Zulkoski.

David Daly

Funeral services for David Daly, 56, formerly of Norfolk, were held Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk. Pastor Mark Reichert officiated with burial in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Norfolk.
Visitation was Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Naorfolk.
 He died Friday, June 5, 2015, in Omaha.
 David Dean Daly, son of Oliver Dean Daly and Delta (Klug) Daly Lesser, was born Oct. 18, 1958, at Norfolk. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and graduated from Norfolk High School with the class of 1977. In May of 1979, he graduated from Northeast Community College. David worked at R & K Mechanical in Norfolk from 1979 to 1986.
He then earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from South Dakota Schools of Mines in 1992. David worked at several engineering jobs after graduation as well as other various work.

Robert E. Brandt

Robert E. Brandt, 82, of Hanover, PA entered the Church Triumphant on Monday, May 25, 2015.
Born on Sunday, September 4, 1932 in Phillips, he was a son of the late Henry E. and Ollie Cox Brandt, and step-son of the late Gladys Anderson Brandt.    He received his bachelor’s degree in Science Education from the University of Nebraska and later earned his master’s degree in Adult Education from George Washington University.  After successfully completing the ROTC program and upon his graduation from college in 1953, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army and was stationed at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He married Gladys Irene Wittwer in August 1954. Following his military service, he remained at Aberdeen as a civilian employee until his retirement in 1993.

Eleanor Dieckman

Eleanor Dieckman, age 97, of Aurora, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, at Memorial Community Care.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 29 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Rev. Bruce Bradley will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or the Hamilton Community Foundation for a scholarship in memory of Eleanor. Eleanor Marie Dieckman, the daughter of Reuben and Helen (Milliken) Lindquist, was born in Aurora on Mother’s Day, May 12, 1918 and passed away in Aurora, on May 25, 2015, at the age of 97.
Eleanor grew up in Aurora and attended the Aurora Schools.

Wayne Weyers

Weyers, Wayne H. age 85 of Lincoln, formerly Aurora, died Friday, May 22, 2015. Born in Sterling to Walter H. and Mina E. (Monroe) Weyers.
Retired service man for Minnegasco Gas Company. Member of Lancaster Lodge #54 AF&AM, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Electa Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #8. Served in the United States Air Force and the 132nd Maintenance Squad AFRES and was a member of the American Legion Post #3. Also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Jody.
