Carrolyne Wolff, age 86, of Aurora, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 9th at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary.  Rev. Greg Reed will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Memorials may be made be made to the family to designate at a later date. Charles Wilcox, age 97, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.
Funeral Services will be held on his birthday at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 5 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. Rev. Sarah Ruch will officiate. A Family Service will be at the Shelton Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Community Care. Charles E. Wilcox, the son of Charles Ray and Florence Ellen (Clark) Wilcox was born on July 5, 1921 in Adams County, and passed away on June 28, 2019 in Aurora, at the age of 97.

Richard "Barney" Barngrover

Richard ‘Barney’ Barngrover, age 66, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at his home.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 1 at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Mt. Richard ‘Barney’ Barngrover, the son of Boyd and Janice (Wantz) Barngrover, was born in Grand Island, on June 17, 1953 and passed away in Aurora, on June 26, 2019, at the age of 66.
He grew up in the Ainsworth and Valentine area.  Richard went on to obtain his GED.
Richard worked as a carpenter.
On Feb. 14, 1991 Richard married Sandra Kliewer at the Hamilton County Court House.  Richard worked for the City of Aurora in the Public Works department for many years.

Iona Marie (Witte) Tracy, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 surrounded by family at the Henderson Care Center in Henderson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 30 at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hampton.  Rev. David Feddern will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Council Cemetery, southeast of Bradshaw. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to designate at a later date. Iona was born on Oct. 10, 1921 to Edwin and Bertha (Obermeier) Witte, on the family farm located near the Beaver Creek just south of Waco.  Iona was the first of six children, and the last one to be called Home to meet her Maker on June 24, 2019 at the age of 97.

Jacqueline J. "Jackie" Steinwart

Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Steinwart, 75, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, June 20, at her home.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, June 25 at 11 a.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Pastor Sara Ruch is officiating.
All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Jackie was born Jan. 12, 1944 at Vancouver, Washington to Jack and Betty (Bowker) Tridle. She grew up in North Platte. On Dec. 31, 1965 she was united in marriage to Delbert Steinwart. Jackie worked at Case New Holland until she retired in 2000.
Jackie loved to quilt and make things for others. Jackie enjoyed baking and cooking. She spent much of her time on the computer playing games. Jackie was extremely family oriented and was very proud of her grandchildren. She was an avid walker until her health began deteriorating.

Barbara Ann Griffith Weems

Barbara Ann Griffith Weems, Atlanta, Texas, passed from this life on May 25, 2019 at her home. She was born on the family farm at Aurora to Andrew and Gertrude (Neuhart) Griffith on Feb. 25, 1941. She attended rural District 82 through the eighth grade, graduated from Aurora High School in 1958 and later Bellevue University while living in Ord. While living in Ainsworth and Ord she was a paralegal for her husband’s law firm. Barbara was the retired Foundation Director of the Atlanta Memorial Hospital Foundation. She was a member of the local book club, garden club and the current president of the Women’s Association for the Northwood Presbyterian Church.

Eileen Joan (Blase) Forsman

Eileen Joan (Blase) Forsman, a resident of Memorial Community Care in Aurora, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
A Celebration of Eileen’s Life will be Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Monroe Evangelical Free Church in rural Hamilton county, following a brief public inurnment service at 10 a.m. at the Aurora cemetery, near Aurora. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com
Eileen was born southwest of Polk, on Jan. 30, 1932, at the home of her parents, Victor and Emilie Blase. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, also of rural Polk. After attending the church school through the eighth grade, she finished grades 9-12 at Hordville High school, graduating in 1949.

Albert H. Epp

Albert Epp was born Sept. 17, 1931, at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton, Kan. He was the first son born to John Epp Jr. and Marie (Harder), and was the third of what would become eight siblings. It was the depression era and even though times were very tight Albert never remembered going without basic necessities.
Albert grew up on the farm by Whitewater, Kan. and his parents farmed the very land that his German speaking grandparents had purchased from the Santa Fe Railroad in 1876 when they migrated from West Prussia. During Albert’s grade school years he attended Brainerd Grade School and during the summers would attend six weeks of Vacation Bible School which consisted of half day German school and half day Bible school. Later Albert would write, “I grew up on a Kansas farm, and the farm is still in my DNA.”

LeRoy Schultz, age 90, of Henderson, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at CHI/St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lincoln.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 15 at the Mennonite Brethren Church, 1201 11th Street in Henderson. Pastor Luke Haidle will officiate. Interment will be in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. LeRoy L. Schultz, the son of John L. and Helena (Loewen) Schultz, was born in Hillsboro, Kansas on Dec. 28, 1928 and passed away in Lincoln, on June 12, 2019, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Richard F. "Dick" Wiles

Richard F. ‘Dick’ Wiles, 73, of Phillips died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Westfield Quality Care of Aurora.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Phillips Methodist Church with Rev. Kathy Uldrich officiating.  Interment will be at the Phillips Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday evening at the church in Phillips.  Memorials are suggested to the Phillips Volunteer Fire Department and the Phillips United Methodist Church.  Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family.
Richard ‘Dick’ Wiles was born on Jan. 8, 1946 in Grand Island, the son of Ralph and Virginia (Taggert) Wiles.  He grew up in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 1964.  Dick was united in marriage to Sharon Regier on Aug. 13, 1967 in Henderson.  The couple made their home in Phillips where Dick worked at Bonnavilla Homes.
Dick enjoyed bowling, softball as well as all sports.
