David Imus

David O. Imus, 85, of Wolbach died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.  Roger Grim will officiate.  Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach.  
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.
Dave was born on Aug. 31, 1933 in Nance County near Fullerton to Clyde and Mabel (Kurth) Imus.
He was raised in Belgrade and attended Belgrade Schools where he graduated in 1951.  He then worked with his father on the farm.
In 1955 he entered the U.S. Army, transferring to the Navy in 1956.  He served until receiving his discharge in 1961.
After his military service, Dave returned to farming near Belgrade.
He was united in marriage to Judith Janc on Aug. 23, 1958 in Lincoln.

Mary Ann Rath

Mary Ann (Buller) Rath, age 89, of Aurora, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at Memorial Community Care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m, Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Stockham Community Church.  Rev. Paul Nauman and Pastor Vance Christie will officiate. Burial Service will be held at 9:45 a.m. at the Stockham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.  Memorials may be made in care of the family to be designated at a later date.  Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Mary Ann Rath, the daughter of John D. and Dora (Doell) Buller, was born in York County near Bradshaw, on Oct. 31, 1929 and passed away in Aurora, on Nov. 4, 2018, at the age of 89.

Marilyn Joyce Adam

Marilyn (Joyce) Adam died Oct. 22, 2018 at her home in rural Ravenna, at age 83. Services were held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ravenna.
Survivors include: two daughters and their spouses and four granddaughters. Also surviving are her sisters, Bonita Wendt of Giltner, Rose Marie Warren and Margaret Schneider of Aurora, and sister-in-law, Karen Joyce Tessman of Stockham.

Duane Beed

Duane Lee Beed, 81, of Fullerton, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at Fullerton Community Church in Fullerton with Pastor Vern Olson and Aaron Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 at the church. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton is in charge of the arrangements.

Dorothy Ryder

Dorothy Ryder, age 92, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at the Westfield Quality Care in Aurora.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22 at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel.  Rev. Bob Gannon will officiate.  Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date. Dorothy Jean Lena Ryder, the daughter of William and Edith (Mathess) Ryder, was born in Aurora, on Nov. 28, 1925 and passed away in Aurora, on Oct. 18, 2018, at the age of 92.

Connie Meyer

Connie Meyer, age 69, formerly of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at her home in Adams.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.  Chaplin Sharon Schuster will officiate. Connie’s wishes were for cremation and the family will have a private service at the Aurora Cemetery prior to the Memorial Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Connie Rae Meyer, the only child of Clarence (Hap) and Ella (Rains) Dieckmann was born on Nov. 14, 1948 in Hastings, and passed away on Oct. 9, 2018 at Adams, at the age of 69.

Barbara Palmberg

Barbara was born in Kingsford, MI in 1932 to Karl Melker and Ruth (Nelson) Axelson. From an early age she was encouraged to pursue her gifts of music and at the age of 13, became the organist at the Iron Mountain Covenant Church, Iron Mountain, MI.
Barbara entered North Park University in Chicago as the first of her Swedish immigrant family to attend college. She traveled with the North Park Choir as soprano soloist and completed a triple major of voice, organ and piano.
Following graduation, she enrolled in seminary classes at North Park and in 1953 she accepted a position as Parish Worker at Hilmar Covenant Church in Hilmar, CA.
In October of 1954 Barbara married her college sweetheart Maurice Palmberg in the Iron Mountain Covenant Church and moved to the Palmberg family hometown of Aurora. Their family grew with son Kurt in 1956 and daughter Karen in 1957.

Marvin Vincent

Marvin Royce Vincent, 85, of Bemidji, Minnesota, died Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.  Marvin was the father of Chris Vincent of Aurora, Ne.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 12, 2018 at Northern Bible Church in Bemidji with Dr. Corbit Magby officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Thursday at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidiji and one hour before the service at the church.  Interment will be at the Cemetery in Bemidji.

Roger Christensen

Roger Christensen, age 66, of Aurora, formerly of Lincoln, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg.  Interment will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.  Military Rites will be provided by Lester S. Roger Dean Christensen, the son of Nels Hans and Frances Louise (Grella) Christensen, was born in Central City, on Dec. 28, 1951 and passed away in Aurora, on Oct. 6, 2018, at the age of 66.

Mary Ann Pence

Mary Ann Pence, age 93, of Aurora, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Memorial Community Care.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11 at Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Aurora.  Rev. Bruce Bradley will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. No Visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to P.E.O., American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or the Local Backpack Program.  Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Mary Ann Pence was born in Aurora, on Aug. 18, 1925, the daughter of John T. and Olive M. (Hibbs) Sullivan.  She shared a loving relationship with one brother, Donald E. Sullivan.  Her loving, gracious spirit soared peacefully heavenward on Oct. 6, 2018.
