City council declares L Street structure as ‘dangerous’

The Aurora City Council declared a two-story structure on the southeast corner of the square a “dangerous building” last week, giving the owner 30 days to respond before the city could begin taking legal action.
Two neighboring property owners voiced their concerns during a May 12 public hearing, though owner Doug McHenry of Hampton was not present, citing health concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic. See detailed report in this week's print or e-editions.
