The Aurora Development Corporation is celebrating Economic Development from May 4-9. Economic Development Week was created by the International Economic Development Council in 2016 to increase awareness for local programs, advance career development opportunities, and increase the quality of life in communities everywhere.
As part of economic development week, all elementary students in Hamilton County are encouraged to fill out the Business Idea Workbook to brainstorm a business they could start. We want to know what business a student would start based on the needs they see in our community and their skills and talents.
Students are also encouraged to have parents help them share their ideas on social media using #grow28county and #EDW2020. Print off your own copy on the Aurora News-Register website. Click the Business Idea Workbook link below
On Thursday, May 7, there will be an Economic Development Week virtual social at 4 p.m., where three local businesses will share about their business and give an opportunity for other business owners and potential business owners to network and share ideas on zoom. Join the virtual gathering through the ADC Facebook page at www.facebook.com/growaurora.
