Ethanol plants now locally owned

The two ethanol plants on Aurora’s western edge are now solely owned by the Aurora Cooperative after a purchase agreement announced last week with Pacific Ethanol. The California-based energy company closed the deal April 15 on an agreement to sell its remaining 74 percent ownership interest in Pacific Aurora, LLC to Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company for a total valuation of $52.8 million.
