Producers in ‘emerging markets’ share their stories

The Governor’s Ag Conference March 10 featured a number of presenters who had important messages to share with Nebraska’s producers and others interested in the state of agriculture in today’s society.
After a rousing discussion on food bullying by Michele Payn of the Cause Matters Corporation, the crowd enjoyed a break to mingle before settling back down to hear from a group of panelists focused on “new and emerging markets in Nebraska.” First up to tell the audience who they were and what they did was husband and wife business team Tyler and Amy Bruch.

Organic operation
Six generation farmers Tyler and Amy Bruch own and operate Cyclone Farms in central Nebraska. It is an irrigated organic farm that grows white, yellow and seed corn as well as wheat, yellow peas and oats -- all while working closely with cover crops.
