Hampton village takes action on lift station, drainage projects

Hampton Village Board members approved a contract last week authorizing plans to have the town’s aging lift station replaced within the next few months.
Board chairman James Parsley reported that bids were opened during a special meeting March 16, at which time the board voted to award the contract to Phillip Carkoski Construction. The Loup City-based company’s bid came in at $141,086, well below the $150,000 budgeted for the project.
“The plan is to pull out the existing lift station and put in a new one,” Parsley said.
