Bonifas credits family for love of agriculture, presidential success

Aurora FFA president Blaine Bonifas always knew he wanted to lead his chapter when the time was right -- he’d watched his brother do the same thing and his personal involvement in the agriculture world is nothing if not impressive.
“In 2006 we moved out to the country,” Bonifas began.
This allowed his family to have a shop “right at the house,” which helped with dad Gregg Bonifas’ Pioneer Seed sales and crop consulting business -- a process Bonifas has grown up around.
“I’ve always been involved in agriculture,” he said. “(Especially) in 2009 (when) we started our pumpkin stand.”
