High Plains has two semifinalists while one of those totaled his 150th career win.

Dylan Soule and Jarrett Parsons will compete in Friday's semifinals after each picking up a pair of wins Thursday during day one action of the Nebraska state wrestling championships.

Soule won two matches -- both by pinfall -- with the second notching his 150th career victory.

It will be the third time in as many years that Soule will compete in the semifinals, losing in his first two attempts.

Soule will take on Issiah Borgmann of Stanton in Friday night's semifinals. The two have combined for a 82-8 record.

As for Parsons, the Storm senior recorded a takedown with seven seconds left to defeat Palmer's Chet Wichmann to qualify for the semifinals.

Parsons avenged an earlier loss to Wichmann this season and is set for a semifinal matchup with Reece Zutavern of Sandhills-Thedford.

Javier Marino was the other Storm wrestler to make the quarterfinal round, but lost to undefeated Samuel Foster of Sutherland. He as well as Hunter Gress and Kolby Beck will battle back through consolations Friday.
