Doris Senff, formerly of Hampton, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Feb. 17, 2020 in Lincoln.
She was born in Ansley, to Gerald and Irene Russell. She had wonderful memories growing up playing ball in a pasture and picnics with her family and neighbors.
Doris felt a deep calling to serve others by offering her talents, abilities, time and resources to her family, church and community. As a token of the deep love she had for her family she spent endless hours making quilts for them and others as well. She also enjoyed volunteering for numerous local organizations and spent months researching her family genealogy. As her health and abilities declined, her faith remained strong that, in her passing, a greater hope, joy and peace awaited her.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Steve (Phyllis) Senff of Clay Center, Sandy (Andy) Fairley of Daykin, Dave (Linda) Senff of Hampton and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Senff of St. George, Kansas. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Jeff and (Mary), Julie and (Nick), Jed and (Shawna), Jay, Samantha, Melissa and (Nick), Russell and (Erin), Dylan, Philip, and Eric and her cherished great-grandchildren: Emma, Lily, Brody, Elizabeth, Maddox, Moriah, Xavier, Isaiah and Maggie. She is also survived by her sisters, Naomi Hammond and Lois and (Rich) Janzen and a brother, Larry and (Carol) Russell, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Doris was proceeded in death by sons, Clark and Russ, former husband, Wilmer and her brothers, Dick and Keith.
Cremation has taken place as she had requested. A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Hampton. Memorial gifts to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church unless otherwise designated.
