Love-filled ‘life moment’ surprise one to remember for Miller

A beautiful surprise awaited long-time Aurora resident Mary Lou Miller at her home in Memorial Community Care. The powerful family matriarch was treated to a few special guests and one big moment.
After dressing the 92-year-old beauty in her Sunday best -- a striking fuchsia jacket and skirt combo -- her daughter Carla Carlson brought her out into the main foyer at MCC to await her granddaughter’s grand entrance.
“My second sister Mary (Judy), who is a year younger than I, one of her twin daughters is getting married in Kansas City and we just thought that that was too big of a day for Mom to go down there and hang out,” Carlson said. “So their brainstorm was to bring Jessica up here in her wedding dress and have Kyla (Carlson), who loves photography, take wedding pictures so the pressure is off to Grandma to be down at the wedding.”
