HPC board makes changes for new year

The High Plains Community School Board met in Polk Monday to discuss plans for the upcoming semester and the new year.
One of the items up for discussion was the board’s 2020-2021 negotiated agreement. Supt. Brian Tonniges presented the new agreement which saw a 3.34 percent increase on the base wage. This equaled out to $500, which brought the base up to $37,950.
The board voted unanimously to pass this change and then continued discussing a possible amendment for staff who works at sporting event and the wages that they can make.
