Aurora swept by Elkhorn

The Aurora boys and girls basketball teams came into Saturday's double-header against Elkhorn with a week in-between contests. 

However, the Antlers looked strong as the Elkhorn girls team won 60-34 while the boys defeated the Huskies 57-45. 

In the boys game, the Antlers hit seven of eight three pointers in the first half, drumming up leads of 18-6 after the first and 39-19 at halftime. 

The Huskies outscored Elkhorn 26-18 in the second half, including 17-12 in the fourth quarter. 

Aurora was led by Nate Boerkircher with 19 points while Kaleb Moural added 12. 

In the girls game, the Lady Antlers raced out to a similar 22-6 lead after the first quarter and continued that up until halftime with a lead of 32-17. 

Rylee Olsen led the Lady Huskies with 10 points off the bench. 

Aurora will be in action Tuesday, traveling to Hastings for a double-header.
