Supt. McDonald resigns, planning move to Deshler

Aurora 4R Supt. Damon McDonald announced his decision to accept a similar position at Deshler Public Schools Monday, informing Aurora staff and board members of his plans to end his nine-year tenure here at the end of June.
“Aurora Public Schools will always have a special place in my heart,” McDonald said Monday after sharing the news with faculty and staff.
Pat Shaw, president of the Aurora School Board, thanked McDonald for his years of service, noting that the full board was scheduled to meet Wednesday evening to formally accept his resignation.
