NeRAIN program reflects high rain totals in Hamilton County

According to the NeRain program, published by the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, spots in Hamilton County received as much as 41.387 inches of precipitation in 2019. This number, recorded in Marquette, was significantly higher than last year’s largest total 34.132 inches, also recorded in Marquette.
It should be noted that the accuracy of this information could be skewed due to the frequency of volunteer data submission, though the data is still credible and found valuable by many, including local farmers, the NRD, National Weather Service and the NeDNR.
