Aurora’s upset efforts come up short at GINW

With inside three minutes to play, the Aurora girls basketball team had cut Class B No. 2 Grand Island Northwest’s lead to a single possession after trailing by double digits.
However, the defending Class B champs showed their moxie, scoring the final 10 points of the contest in a 47-34 win over the Lady Huskies in GI Saturday night.
Aurora coach Cole Carraher pointed to frustration with letting another quality win slip away in the final minutes, but knows that big things are coming for this Lady Husky squad.
