Aurora challenges ranked York squad

For three-plus quarters, the Aurora girls basketball team gave Class B No. 5 York all it could handle.
The Lady Huskies held the Dukes to 14 first half points and held the lead. However, York took charge in the second half in a 53-37 win on Aurora’s home court.
According to Aurora coach Cole Carraher, it came down to effort on the defensive end which made the Lady Huskies so successful against a bigger, lengthier Dukes squad.
