Seeman to be honored as Sentinel during Husker football game

Aurora mayor and veteran Marlin Seeman will be honored Nov. 16 during the Nebraska versus Wisconsin football game as the game’s sentinel. Instead of sitting in his seat with wife Nancy, he will be just a short distance away posted next to the POW/MIA chair for the duration of the matchup in Lincoln.
The university is currently in its second season of honoring a veteran at each home football game, a tradition established in which “a decorated veteran of U.S. military service will take his or her post next to this unoccupied chair in honor of the more than 800 Nebraskans lost in combat, but whose fate remains unknown.”
Seeman was nominated by both retired judge Mike Owens and his wife, Nancy.
