Public participation airs turbine concerns

Caroline Epp of Giltner was present for the duration of Monday’s Hamilton County Board of Commissioners meeting, waiting patiently to speak her concerns surrounding the wind turbine debate during the public participation section of the morning.
“I want to state that I’m very much against the wind turbines, especially where they’re being placed,” Epp expressed. “Because that is prime farm ground and I just think that is a really dangerous precedent to set for this county.”
The county is known for its great agricultural land, Epp continued, and starting to place turbines in “prime agricultural land” would be, in her view, a disgrace to the county.
