Giltner sees rise in overall test scores

Statewide assessment test scores from last spring have come back to area school districts as they look through the results.
Giltner Supt. Stuart Lenz reported that the district was very proud of their test results.
“These are a result of the incredible work our teachers and students put into the classroom each and every day,” Lenz said. “As a district we just ensure that we are teaching the standards that we need to be teaching by using best practices to keep students engaged and active in learning. We don’t spend specific time cramming for state assessments, but just ensure that quality instruction is occurring at all times. If we do that well, then we know the test results will follow, which is what we are seeing."
