Aurora falls to Hastings in B-8 district final

The Aurora volleyball team won the opening set against Hastings, but the Tigers took the next three to defeat the Lady Huskies in four sets, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18 and 25-20. 

A balanced attack early from Aurora gave them an 18-13 advantage before Paxtyn Dummer finished things off for Aurora, 25-22. 

Hastings took the lead early in the second at 15-10, but Aurora fought back to tie things at 16 before Hastings took the lead for good and won 25-21. 

Aurora led the third set 11-8 after swings from Dummer and Makayla Eberly. However, a 5-1 run from Hastings gave them a 22-18 lead and ended the set on an 8-1 run, 25-18. 

Hastings scored six of the first seven in the fourth, but Aurora fought back to make the deficit 9-7. Aurora tied things at 15-all as Hastings fended off another Lady Husky rally to win the fourth and the match, 25-20.

The Tigers advance to the state tournament while Aurora's season comes to an end at 18-17.
