Stormdogs roll in opening round

The Osceola/High Plains Stormdogs used a dominant rushing attack to make quick work of Elkhorn Valley Thursday night. The No. 4 seeded Stormdogs took care of business against the No. 13 seed Falcons, winning 73-12 in Clarks.

The Stormdog rushing attack was led by senior Keaton Van Housen, who scored all five OHP touchdowns in the first half with another 200-yard night on the ground. The senior scored on runs of 9, 41, 44, 27 and 15.

Unlike the first game these two teams played on Sept. 20 where OHP won 55-46, the Stormdogs slowed down Elkhorn Valley's offense, only allowing six points in the first half.

Osceola/High Plains moves on to the second round and will travel to Creighton (6-3) Wednesday, after defeating Wisner-Pilger 56-32 in the opening round.
