Marching Huskies superior, again

All four area schools joined into Saturday festivities in Grand Island to play their roles in the 78th annual Harvest of Harmony parade. Aurora High School continued on to then compete in the field competition and take home their 18th consecutive superior rating.
After the successful completion of both the parade and field competition, Aurora band instructor Dan Sodomka reflected on the day as a whole.
“The parade was very smooth and kept running, so we got through it fairly quick,” he said. “The kids did very, very well, especially being really early in the parade. I thought they sounded great. Obviously I couldn’t see what was going on behind me, but I thought what they sounded like and the intensity they had was very well done.”
