Huskies ready for ‘whole new season’

Aurora and Grand Island Northwest pounded on each other for three quarters in a physical Sledgehammer Game Friday, but the Vikings were able to pull away in the final frame for a 26-8 win that was closer than the final score.
“You want to play well in a rival game like this and for 3-1/2 quarters we really did,” said a disappointed coach Kyle Peterson. “This one will sting a little bit and I hope that it does sting because that will make our kids want to come back Monday trying to get better.”
