HPC students see dangers of distracted driving in mock accident

The scene as two buses of High Plains students pulled up to a country intersection was chilling -- a smashed truck with a passenger bleeding, a girl not moving in the ditch, a mangled car with an unconscious driver inside and a girl screaming for her friend to wake up.
HPC students received a first-hand reminder of the dangers of distracted and reckless driving Sept. 4 in the form of a joint effort mock accident.
