County approves new comp plan

Capping off a detailed three-year review process, the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners voted Monday to adopt the new Hamilton County Comprehensive Development Plan and updated zoning and subdivision regulations.
In a long-awaited conclusion, the county revised the setback requirement for commercial wind turbine systems from the proposed 2,000 feet to 2,640 feet, but did not make other changes suggested at a public hearing. The resolution was approved by unanimous vote.
