While each team had plenty of their own successes, the Giltner Lady Hornets toughed out a three-set victory over the host High Plains team Thursday night by scores of 25-17, 24-26 and 25-11.

After Giltner pulled away to win the first set with ease, High Plains battled back in the second, leading for much of the game.

In fact, following three straight ace serves by HPC's Kenna Morris, the Storm led 22-15. Despite that, Giltner tied the match at 24-all with help from Hannah Preissler and Cassidy Tompkin.

A forceful attack by HPC's Brooke Bannister carried the Storm forward to win the second, 26-24.

Despite that, the third set was all Giltner as they ran away with it, 25-11.

Both teams earned wins over East Butler in the other two matches of the triangular.
