Huskies gear up for Thursday race in Seward

Aurora cross country boys claimed two medals in Friday’s Grand Island Northwest Invite, a solid start for a team coach Tony Sigler expects to be competing for lots of medals and trophies in the season ahead.
A total of 27 Huskies competed in a field of just under 100 runners, covering a 4K course with a goal of gaining confidence before the real season begins Thursday in Seward.
“This is really set up by Northwest to be a precursor to an actual race,” Sigler explained. “It’s not a full race so our kids essentially look at it as a conditioning workout.”
