Hampton board reviews input on possible HP athletic cooperative

Hampton School Board members reviewed what was called a good first meeting with High Plains Community School Monday in regard to a possible cooperative agreement involving athletics.
Jeff Hansen, board president, summarized the discussion from a July 29 meeting, reporting that there was a lot of information shared from both schools’ perspectives.
“It was very brief and we really didn’t get into the weeds, but we had a nice conversation about each other’s school history,” he began. “We talked about how we got to where we’re at today, some initial concerns and also the opportunity (of a cooperative agreement), keeping in mind what’s best for all kids at both schools.” Read more in this week's print or e-editions.
