Commissioners to continue search for contractors on courthouse window project

Moving forward with the effort to maintain the beauty of the Hamilton County Courthouse, Hamilton County commissioners again discussed the sole bid they received on July 29 concerning the tower window replacement project.
Administrative Manager Scott Stuhr presented the county with a recommendation to reject the sole bid from Pella Commercial Division out of Grand Island, based on the grounds that the bid was not submitted with all the information requested.
The original bid was submitted by Pella marking the replacement of the 16 windows, not including installation, to be $91,921. Read more in this week's print or e-editions.
