NSP investigating shooting death

The Nebraska State Patrol confirmed Friday that it is investigating a shooting death after a body was found Thursday at Tooley Park.
Cody Thomas, NSP public relations director, reported that a body was found at the park located west of Marquette, adding that “there is not a threat to the public.”
Hamilton County Attorney Mike Powell confirmed that a male body was found during the early morning hours Thursday after authorities responded to a 911 call. Sheriff Kirk Handrup reported that he is aware of the situation, though the investigation is being handled by the Nebraska State Patrol.
