Mary Lambert, age 79, of Aurora, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at her home.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at
Mary Ann Lambert, the daughter of Claud and Mary A. (Koler) Conrad was born on Dec. 15, 1939 at Red Cloud, and passed away on Aug. 4, 2019 in Aurora, at the age of 79.
Mary grew up in Red Cloud and attended school through the 10th grade.  She began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) and was able to work beside her mother in the Nelson Nursing Home.  Mary was united in marriage to Arnold Lambert on Aug. 20, 1956 at Superior.  While Arnold served in the U.S. Navy in Rhode Island, Mary raised their four children and worked as a C.N.A.  This career allowed her to work before during and after they had their family.   After Arnold was honorably discharged they returned to Nebraska, living in Columbus, Duncan, Nelson, Clay Center, Kearney, Red Cloud and Franklin before settling in Aurora in their current home.
Mary was a member of D.A.V.   
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Arnold of Aurora; four children, Gwen Walte of Sargent, Christina Spike of Osceola, Claudia Thopan of Hastings and Gary Lambert of Deweese; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Smith of Harvard; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Silvia and Chuck Bridwell and other family members and friends.
