Many golfers dream of it, but fewer get the chance to live it out. Caleb Badura had that chance Friday.

The Aurora native and Northwestern College sophomore-to-be golfer made it look easy on his way to the Nebraska men’s match play golf crown.

Badura became the fourth player short of his 20th birthday to win the match play championship with a 9 and 7 win over Omaha's Dan Huston, who calls the Players Club Golf Course home.

Badura held a 4 up lead through the 18-hole morning round and continued with fire in the afternoon, ballooning his lead to 7 up by winning the first three holes and eventually held a 9 up lead through 25 holes. The match ended when Huston conceded Badura’s birdie putt after hitting his fourth shot on the par-4 11th.

Badura goes for a sweep of the state tournaments at the 115th Nebraska Amateur from July 8-11 at the Country Club of Lincoln.
