Donna Lee (Gustafson) Erlenbusch

Donna L. Erlenbusch, 72 of Ashland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 15, 2019 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Donna Lee (Gustafson) Erlenbusch, daughter of Walter and Violet (Veed) Gustafson, was born April 5, 1946 south of Marquette. She grew up in Marquette in a loving Christian family with three older brothers and two younger sisters.
She graduated from Marquette High School in 1964. She married John Erlenbusch Oct. 5, 1968. They had two children, Scott and Amy. Donna worked in various towns including Aurora, Grand Island, Omaha and St. Charles, IL, before returning to Ashland in 2000. Donna retired in 2009 when she became the sole caregiver for her husband.
Donna loved spending time with her children, granddaughter, family and her grandpups: Wiggy, Bentley, Remy and Sophie. She opened her home to everyone and was known to all as Ma.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Walter and Violet Gustafson; brothers, Charles and Royce Gustafson and her daughter-in-law, Gina Delmont.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Scott (Tracie) Erlenbusch and their daughter Taylor (Gerade) of Gretna; daughter Amy Erlenbusch of DeKalb, IL; brother Eldon (Valeria) Gustafson of Phillips; two sisters Connie Gustafson of Lincoln, and Karen Cox of Omaha; sister-in-law, Janice (Don) Kruse of Aurora; uncle Lawrence Veed of Central City; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, there is a memorial fund in Donna’s name at the Project Purple Foundation.
