City council reviews final cost for 1st Street paving project

The Aurora City Council reviewed the final cost of the 1st Street paving project and has scheduled a public hearing on the assessment schedule to establish how much each property owner along the street will pay of the $1.17 million tab.
Steve Parr with JEO Consulting reviewed the final report during the Jan. 22 council meeting, concluding that the final tab came in under the initial estimate.
“I think it’s important for the community to know of the fiscal frugality that went into this project, which benefitted the citizens,” noted Mayor Marlin Seeman.
