Late season rains, snow, draw out last of havest

Harvest in Hamilton County is as close to complete as it gets, which took a lot longer than originally intended because of fall rains and early snow. Despite setbacks and damage done to yields, experts point to a successful season.
“Harvest is 98 percent done,” said Chad Carlson of the Aurora Cooperative. “There are a few fields out there that are left, but not much.”
According to Carlson, the delay was caused by late-season moisture. He also reported this was one of the longer harvests he remembers.
