Ediger takes over alma mater

Just 10 years ago, the Hampton boys basketball team finished 3rd in the Class D state boys basketball tournament as then-coach Jerry Eickhoff won his 649th game with one particular senior, Kyle Ediger on that team. 
“Kyle Ediger gets in there and bangs around and does a lot of good things for the team that goes unnoticed,” Eickhoff told the News-Register after the 2008 state tournament. 
Ediger hopes to use those experiences and leadership qualities in building his alma mater back into a winning program.
