Stormdogs fall in second round

Following an upset of BDS a week ago, the Osceola-High Plains Stormdogs ran out of magic Wednesday in a 66-26 loss to Lutheran High Northeast in the second round of the D-1 football playoffs. The two teams virtually traded score for score for much of the first half as the Eagles led 20-6 after the first and pulled away late in the second to take a 38-18 lead to the half.

Junior quarterback Dylan Soule had 100-yard games both in the air and on the ground, rushing for 134 yards while passing for 131 more. Keaton Van Housen was riddled by injuries throughout the night, but still recorded 80 receiving yards and 51 rushing. The Stormdogs finish its inaugural season with a 5-5 record.
