Nebraska honeybees crucial to local ecosystems

Honeybees have had a long road of negative stereotypes, but the reality is that they are a very important part of the ecosystem and without them, the world would look and operate a lot differently.
“About 60 percent of what we eat is directly or indirectly impacted by the honeybee,” said Brian Nilson, avid beekeeper and teacher of bee classes at Central Community College.
