Aurora competes at stiff Seward meet

The Aurora boys and girls cross country teams were in action Thursday afternoon at the Charlie Thorell Invitational in Seward with some of the top all-class competition. Over 200 girls and more than 300 boys took to the Concordia University course and the Huskies were right in the mix. 

Maya Nachtigal paced the Lady Huskies squad, finishing in 11th place with a time of 21:41 while the team earned ninth place honors. 

For the boys, Ben Springer was right towards the top, finishing ninth in a time of 17:55 while the team placed fourth overall. 

The cross country teams will also be in action Saturday at the Minden Invite.
