City awaiting county’s decision on EMS plan

Aurora Mayor Dave Long reported Monday that the city’s study of a fire-based ambulance system is on hold for now, awaiting a final decision from the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners.
Long made a presentation on the city’s study Aug. 6, asking county commissioners to pay $301,000 a year for three years, in addition to paying an annual administrative fee as well as donating the three existing ambulances to the city at no cost.
