City unveils fire-based EMS plan

City officials unveiled a rough draft version of a fire-based ambulance service study Thursday, seeking input from the public before sharing a revised version with county board members and other potential partners they say will be critical to the proposal’s success.
Having researched various aspects of creating a new city-based ambulance service, a committee comprised of 16 individuals shared its findings in a study Mayor Dave Long said never wavered from the original objectives.
