Klawonn shares insight, lessons from studies abroad

Editor’s note: This is the first in a series of guest columns submitted by Aurora history teacher Brenda Klawonn, who is spending a month traveling and studying in Europe.

It’s summer, school is out, so that means I am doing professional development and traveling. In this case, I am able to do both at the same time. I am participating in a two-week study tour in Germany, then visiting Laurin Suessenguth and Own Riks (two of our latest foreign exchange students), and then joining another study tour group in France. My goal is to share some of my summer travel experiences with you, but first let me explain how I managed to get to spend one month in Europe.
